Now I want to solve this.Suspect you might be olive? Ask in our monthly megathread! Clear pics of decent quality please. This almost has to be intentional bc one was definitely silicone based and the new one was definitely water based. □□ So now I’m wondering if Sephora is selling a different version than GA or what is going on? I wish I’d kept the new version bc I could easily show what I’m talking about. I honestly thought I was going to be sick. I put my hourglass primer on and the new foundation and it instantly separated. I prefer silicone based products bc that’s what I already own and they look more airbrushed typically. So then I swatched them beside each other and it was immediately clear. I’m really impressed with how well their shades match real skin undertones. This is one of the few foundations I’ve found that has a match for fair skin tones with olive undertones. The have accurate matches for olive, peach, yellow, pink, neutral, golden, and red undertones. I held it up in the light beside my other bottle and sure enough, it was very obviously a much different shade. Armani Luminous Silk does a really incredible job with their undertones. When I pulled it out, I thought there was a mistake bc the color was darker and orange. When it arrived, the ingredients lists were the same so I was hopeful. About the Brand: Say the name Giorgio Armani and anyone will recognize it. Potential Allergens: Aluminum Hydroxide, dimethicone, benzyl alcohol. So I went to order, and it said NEW on Sephora and I’m thinking, oooh noooo. Armani Beauty's Luminous Silk Foundation. So I saw it somewhere on reddit first coincidentally as I was about to buy a new bottle. It’s honestly offensive bc they act like we’re too stupid to notice. They make a great thing and once they have a following, they reformulate. I found a lot of companies do this like briogeo. □ It really has me hot and bothered bc I had finally found my perfect foundation and never intended on trying any others. As u can tell, I’m still feeling some type of way. Do they not care about their reputation? I can only assume not bc I’d be downright embarrassed to put my name on that. I cant believe they think it’s acceptable to sell that absolute trash. Literally any drugstore foundation is better. There are some still saying it’s great and I thought they were either fake reviews or maybe they weren’t too accustomed to good foundations. I feel like it’s really fraudulent because the same reviews for the old formula rave about it so people are still trying it and wondering how anyone could like it. I’m still really disgusted by the whole thing. I went to La Mer after trying about 20 other foundations. I found somewhere that the formula was changed and sure enough, when I got my new bottle that were supposedly the same shade, it was not! The new one separated so bad and it was ridiculously orange. SOS: They changed the formula!!! The new formula is absolute trash! It’s now water based.
